As a member of the collective, Petits Morceaux produces upcycled, mixed media art that embodies a positive vibe. Her "bloom anyway" series presents an innovative look at the value of each living entity.
these 6×6 mixed media pieces holds a story in every detail. It features a perfectly preserved Swallowtail butterfly, self-collected along Hunts Lane in Fox Chapel (2023).
Each element carries meaning — from amethyst gathered in North Carolina, to dried flowers saved from a thoughtful post-surgery gift, to quartz collected after a summer rain near Asheville before the devastating floods of 2024.
Every piece Rachel creates is more than art — it’s a collection of moments, memories, and nature’s quiet beauty brought together.

As a shared creative space, Alloy 13 exists to give artists room to grow, experiment, and be seen. We believe collaboration strengthens craft, and that when artists thrive together, the entire community benefits.

Alloy 13 at Aluminum City Arts
The Chaos Lab is a monthly junk journal gathering designed for movement, texture and creative release. Once a month, we gather around a long table at Alloy 13, begin with a quick creative drop to shake off the week, then explore one focused technique and a loose prompt to create without overthinking.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be “artistic.” You don’t need to share anything you’re not ready to share. Chaos Lab is about process, not performance.
Bring your own journal or purchase a handmade Chaos Lab journal when you register. Seats are limited to 10 to preserve the atmosphere.
