The Chaos Lab is a monthly junk journal gathering designed for movement, texture and creative release. Once a month, we gather around a long table at Alloy 13, begin with a quick creative drop to shake off the week, then explore one focused technique and a loose prompt to create without overthinking.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be “artistic.” You don’t need to share anything you’re not ready to share. Chaos Lab is about process, not performance.
Bring your own journal or purchase a handmade Chaos Lab journal when you register. Seats are limited to 10 to preserve the atmosphere.
Nicky Magnelli
Nicky Magnelli is a mixed media artist and storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of faith, texture and lived experience. Through layered collage, intuitive color and reclaimed materials, she explores themes of identity, restoration and creative courage.
As the founder of Hot Mess Art, Nicky believes art is a place where honesty and healing can meet. She creates not just finished pieces, but spaces for others to experiment, reflect and embrace the beauty of process.
